He has a degree in Piano, Lenguaje Musical and
Teoría de la Música. He is Doctor in Philosophy and Educational sciencies. Nowadays, He is working in the Universidad de Lleida as a professor in Music education and he has been Vicedean of Faculty
of Education.
He was granted as a pianist twice by la Diputación de Lleida and he has been taught in piano by concertists like Margarita Serrat, Luiz de Moura Castro, Manel Camp, Robert Levin, etc. and functional and jazz composition methods in Taller de Músics. He is the conductor of different musical productions and the author of the music and arrangements of plays as "Mercedes" by Tomas Bracht (Tarrega 97), "El Jorobado de Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo for Zum-zum teatre (Grec 97), "Rubab, el misteri de l'instrument prohibit" (Lleida 2007) etc. |

He has written the music for some silent
films as "Los Nibelungos", "Before to Hollywood"
etc. He won several awards as the first award of Composición
"Ciudad de Reus" in 1999 and he was finalist
in 1997, extraordinay prize of Doctoral
Dissertation in 2006, Batec Award 2007 for his project "Musical improvisation, creating and enjoying in real time". His music has been
broadcasted in national
radio and tv stations, where he has also played in direct. He usually gives courses about improvisation with piano and about new technologies
applied in music in conservatories
and universities of Spain, Andorre, France,
Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic. He has some CDs being
author and interpreter entitled "Cristall" (DiscMedi 1999), "Silencis"
(Satchmo 2001), "Blanc" (Satchmo 2003), “Sons de ciutat” (DiscMedi 2005), "Patio de luces" (CD+DVD Quadrant 2008) and the DVD "RECITAL ANTONI TOLMOS" (HM 2006). Finally,
he has published some of his pieces
scores and articles by several editorials. Hi is author of the Tesis about piano improvisation as pedagogical tool. |
